Glocal stands for Global+Local. It means the application of global perspectives in the ‘Sandbox’ (Belgaum, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri and Uttar Kannada districts of Karnataka) area. The publication was initiated by Deshpande Fellows to publish ongoing activities of Deshpande Fellowship program.

The intention is to bring out the innovations and activities undertaken by the Deshpande Centre for Social Entrepreneurship to a global audience.

The Glocal committee consists of 3-4 members, with the members changing every month. It is to highlight the Deshpande Foundation Fellows’ (Cohort – I) talent, skills and knowledge used to solve local problems. It is intended to share knowledge in the field of Social Entrepreneurship among academicians, students and field practitioners.
